Werewolf Destiny Page 5

  - Five minutes passed - Withell growled, going inside and looking at the girl still wet. - You could have at least changed.

  - I'll dry out - she snorted the resultant and passed it, going out onto an empty corridor. - I do not want to wear your clothes. Besides, it does not matter what I will wear in the dungeons.

He didn't know what tempted him to grab Hale by the arm and draw her to himself possessively. She did not know either, but her loud cry quickly brought him back to his mind.

  - Let go! - She was whirring, scratching him in the blood, which definitely upset him.

He grabbed her face in his hands and looked into these grayish blue irises, even burning with disgust and anger.

  - Don't you dare attack me, you understand?! - He shook her like a rag doll, ignoring her accelerated heartbeat.

Luna should know her place, and if she cannot find it alone, he will be happy to help her.

  - You're an asshole, Withell. She's a squint. - I hate you and I will never be yours!

The man's agitation did not allow him to stay in human form for a long time, so long claws slipped out of his hand and his body was covered with black hair in some places. She had never seen him so angry before.

  - No one will ask your opinion! - He was drooling out of his mouth, just like in her ideas of cruel and ruthless werewolves. - You are already mine! The bite has sealed your fate once and for all!

She scratched herself, trying to rip Jasper out, but he held his prey tight.

Fury limited his ability to assess the situation soberly, and his fingers clenched the brunette's shoulders more and more, tearing her clothes apart.

  - You are an ordinary animal," she quietly said, which was a big mistake. - And only an animal can love you.

The roar that spread around the house was terrifying, so it is no wonder that Trein appeared on the stairs immediately worried.

  - You may know what you are actually doing? - He asked, noticing his pissed off brother and his partner's bloody shoulders.

Neither of the two made a special impression on him, but he did not want to witness the bloodshed.

As if not looking at it, Amanda was an innocent and quite accidental victim, although she asked herself for a solid beating. None of the Withells were patient, so losing control was only a matter of time, and according to Trein Jasper, he still lasted exceptionally long.

He would have strangled her on her first day.

  - Stay out of the way! - The blonde man growled, but definitely calmed down.

The coat disappeared from his body and the claws returned to their natural state.

Now, he was staring indiscriminately at the shreds of Hale's blouse, and she was throwing him murderous glances, which he had already gotten used to.

  - Now you don't have a choice - he sighed - you have to go get dressed, Amanda.

She made this face, which she always did, whenever he used a powerful tone against her and forced her to follow an order.

On her stiff legs she went to the bathroom, taking dry pants, underwear and flannel shirt from the closet on the way.

She assumed that it wouldn't be too warm in the dungeons, so she intended to take care of her comfort, especially since she hated low temperatures.

Thanks to Withell's assault, she finally started to think, so after washing the blood and dressing up in clean clothes, she took a small cloth bag from the table and packed everything that could be useful to Dagmar.

Only now did she realize that her friend was not well dressed when they were kidnapped. If she had not yet frozen underground, she was very lucky.

  - But you're packing? - Jasper raised one eyebrow, following his mother's actions with interest.

  - It's none of your business - she just snorted, continuing to fold the polished blouse.

  - I bought these clothes with you in mind, not your friend, so it may not fit in - he joked, but he didn't pay attention to it.

Dagmara has recently dropped a lot of unnecessary kilograms and had no problem to fit into what is more Amanda's closet.

She should have taken something else to eat for her, but she didn't think Withell would let her, and she wasn't going to ask him for anything. She will find another way to get a meal for her, if necessary.

  - Trein will take you to the Headquarters - he kindly informed her, but for the first time, the thought of his younger brother relieved her.

Sometimes she regretted that he had not managed to poison her when he tried, but she assumed that he did not want her to die on his conscience. It was only to weaken her. A weak partner is no partner.

She could not believe the stupidity of both werewolves. Which normal woman would choose to live with a tyrant as his slave? She hoped that none.

  - At the beginning you said you were keeping her down here - she remembered their conversation when she first talked about her friend.

She asked about it to be sure, for a long time she thought that this tyrant would take the first opportunity to separate them. After all, they could escape together at any time. Even Withell has to sleep sometimes, and that would be the perfect time to give a leg up from this ghostly place.

  - We have recently moved her to the main dungeons - a blonde blonde purr replied - she was not needed here for anything.

His indifference to the fate of others drove her crazy, but was limited to sending him one of those murderous glances after which you have trouble sleeping.

  - How far is the Main House? - She preferred to know more or less her location, it could always be useful for something.

  - Not really - he interfered from Trein's unwillingness - an hour away.

She was nodding with understanding and stood next to the boy.

  - We can go - she felt that Jasper leaning nonchalantly against the wall was drilling a hole in her back, but she wasn't going to watch.

  Never again.

As the forest started to thicken more and more, Amanda realized that they were already close to the target. Such a thicket perfectly suited the wolf's quarters, not only to hide it, but most of all so that the werewolves could freely give up their innate bond with nature.

  - It was here - Trein yawned and stopped in front of the entrance, looking at his passenger meaningfully.

  - You are not coming with me? - She was surprised, and he turned his eyes over impatiently.

  - No, the doll - he squinted, pushing her slightly towards the door - you have friends here, you can handle it.

She got off on shaking legs, proudly straightened out, saying goodbye to her persecutor. However, before she managed to get close to the house, someone suddenly threw himself around her neck.

  - Amanda! - Gina shouted out, pushing the mentee away from her shoulder length. - How nice to see you all and healthy!

  The brunette smiled pale.

  - So you're a werewolf too - she sighed, looking critically at the woman. - Did you know from the beginning?

Gina curled up, knowing that she wouldn't convince Hale to change her mind. Alfa and his brother probably gave their best to make her remember them as badly as possible for the rest of her days.

  - I am sorry - she whispered, lowering her head with humility.

She felt the smell of Withell on the girl, and on the uncovered part of her arm she noticed a piece of the mark after a brutal bite.

  - Take me to the dungeons, please - Hale murmured, turning her head to the side.

Everyone betrayed her, leaving her alone. From now on, she intended to follow the well-known principle: you can count, count on yourself.

The wolfish girl did not manage to answer, still in disbelief, digesting the words of the shed. Dungeons? I guess Withell wasn't capable of such atrocity? Admittedly, they had quite civilized rooms, but still lacking windows, not to mention limited freedom.

  - Amanda Hale, I believe - the front door opened wide and a tall, bulky guy with night black eyes and ashen hair stood in it.

  - Yes, and who are you? - She snort
ed, giving him a cold look.

  - Dante Silveres - introduced himself, threateningly frowning his eyebrows - Jasper beta.

Beta? What is this degree again? She could read the documents they ordered her to put in the archives! She now regretted that she did not apply herself as solidly as she could.

  - Alfa gave me all the clues, so I warmly invite you to the dungeons, luno - he waved his hand, and she moved towards him uncertainly.

  - What are the guidelines? - She dared to ask when she had already made up her mind.

He smiled rascally, flashing snow-white fangs.

  - Adequate for not showing the respect you are said to have shown, he sent her a significant look. - And now follow me, Hale. Someone is already waiting for you.

  Chapter VIII

They walked along a long corridor, which looked even quite cosy.

It did not exactly resemble the modern interior of the previous place where Amanda was held, but immediately felt safe there.

  - Pretty, right? - Dante asked Dante, seeing the admiration of the barrel, but Hale was disgusted.

He had just led her to the dungeons, where they brazenly and against the law kept her friend, but he had the audacity to talk to her about the interior design of some dog house.

  - If even though a hair fell off her head, I swear I will do anything to hurt you - she sinisterly roared, and the werewolf radiated, as if providing a girlfriend would give him great pleasure.

  - Of course, luno - mocked, stopping in front of the only door, which was completely covered with metal.

He took out the magnetic card from his pants pocket and put it on the lock. A silent click told Amanda that she was about to see a friend, but she saw something she didn't expect at all. The stairs leading down were wooden and the walls were illuminated by hexagonal-shaped lamps, which you just touched to make them light up. They were accompanied by a warm beige color, which did not evoke any sense of danger.

  - Ladies first," joked Dante and let her through the door, and she probably started going down, holding onto the railing.

It didn't last long, because a corridor very similar to the one at home appeared to her eyes. On both sides of the corridor there were several quite normal wooden pairs of doors, and number plates were attached to them.

They had no holes for keys, but magnetic locks, for which a special card was needed. In some places there were beautiful flowers in large ornamental pots, and paintings hung on the walls.

Hale was looking at it all in complete shock.

  - These are your sows? - she threw out of herself, forgetting that she wasn't supposed to speak to the werewolf.

  - Level A," he explained with a smile, "there are two lower levels, B and C, that you might not like anymore. Especially C.

  - Two lower levels? Who do you keep there? - Silveres crooked, but still answered.

  - Depending on the offense, the penalties vary. The last level is for traitors, fraudsters, rebels, rapists and murderers. Now we do not keep anybody there.

  - And level B? - she risked, driven by curiosity.

  - For thieves, if there are any, and others whose offenses are too trivial to be brutally punished.

She was nodding her head with understanding, although she did not understand it at all.

  - Where is Dagmara? - She returned to the topic that interested her most.

  - 12A - he led her right to the door - and she's not with us, so you have time to think about your behavior, luno. Jasper ordered two weeks of quarantine, so you have plenty of it.

She squinted her eyes and clenched her mouth in a narrow line, but did not speak. She waited for the man to open the door to freedom and entered the room with a decisive step. The door closed behind her with a characteristic click.

  - Dagmara? - She threw into the space, instead of looking around, which she made up for immediately.

She would call the whole thing a cosy apartment with a bathroom, rather than the tight and skinny cell she expected. Bright colors and green accessories prevailed, but there was one missing - windows.

  - I don't believe it! Amanda? What are you doing here? Where have you been? Who are these guys? - she accused her of asking questions from Dagmar, who had just left the intimate kitchen, decorated with a bouquet of fresh flowers.

  - They are werewolves, Dag," said Hale quietly, observing with interest the face of the cloakroom. - One is said to be my mate.

  - What?! Really?! - the girl moved away and scanned her friend's figure with disbelief.

She once heard that werewolves are not just bedtime stories for naughty children, but something that has a grain of truth in it. She grew up in a place where every night you could hear wolves howling, but nobody ever saw one.

People were passing the subject off, claiming that it's the drunken youth who's fooling around, but how much? In the end they would get bored of the joke, and howling was always heard. Anyway, Dagmara herself belonged to a pack of these young people and she would never come up with such an idiotic idea to go to the forest in the middle of the night and imitate the wolf.

  - Mate is something about destiny, my aunt once told me about it - she remembered. - Is this someone important?

  - No, only the leader of the herd - Amanda shrugged her shoulders, but Dagmara flew her eyes out.

I think she knew a little more about these creatures than a brunette.

  - Alpha," she whispered, "scared", "you're a maggot.

  - That's what his herd calls me, but what does it matter? We will run away and live in another city, it will be like it used to be again - she smiled, although she did not feel any joy.

  - Are you crazy? Do you know who you are now? Luna is not a nickname, but a rung on the herd ladder! You are an alpha partner, their king! You know what I mean?

The hall curved and sighing, distressed.

  - Do they also serve you some ashes for your meals? You're gone, girlfriend, she fucks it up. - Don't take their drugs, even if they say so, because it's for your own good.

  - They are not giving me any drugs! Do you have any idea about werewolves?

  - As much as I was told - she muttered annoyed by her friend's behavior - I don't care anyway. I want to run away, you understand?

  - No, I don't understand! Anyway, it is not easy! Mate is inseparable, so where you do not go, he will find you anyway.

  - Then I understand that you like this underground luxury and you are not going to leave with me, yes? - Amanda was upset. - In that case, sit here, please. I'm not going to.

Dagmara sighed quietly, giving in to the bitterness of her friend.

  - How do you want to get out of here? The lock opens only the magnetic card - she approached the door and pointed to the place where the keyhole should be, but there was no keyhole.

And then Amanda smiled in such a way that the Dagmars were cunningly shivers on their backs.

  - This card? - She put her hand out in front of her, proudly presenting her prey to a friend.

  - What do you mean... - she moaned shocked, but Hale had no intention of extending it unnecessarily.

  - There are no guards and it is still clear," she explained hastily. - Now we have a unique chance, because at night the guards will guard the area.

  - You're crazy, but I'm in," she whispered with excitement about Dagmar. - I hope they only don't catch us, because then there will be no mercy for anyone. But alpha is alpha.

  - I'm not going to let myself get caught," said outraged Amanda. - Not this time.

The cloakroom did not intend to question this. She knew the girl not from today and knew that if she insisted on something, it would be exactly as she had decided.

Amanda put the card on the door and after a while they heard a quiet click.

  - Freedom - she whispered to Dagmar, whose face was brightened by a wide smile. - We must be very quiet, because werewolves have sharpened hearing.

  - Okay. Black-haired one. - What's the plan? We just go out and run into the forest?

  - We c
an steal their car if you don't mind - she suggested shyly, but she was a little afraid of a risky plan that was born in her head. - I have a license, I'll drive," she assured us, but Dagmara has sold out the mine.

  - How do we steal the keys? - She snorted, raising one eyebrow. - We will only waste time looking for them and they will realize that something is wrong.

  - It was a loose proposition, don't get so high because they'll hear us," Amanda said. - I go first, you follow me. Don't say anything under any circumstances - she instructed her, because she knew her friend's temperament perfectly well and knew that in case of danger she would fight instead of hiding.

  - Who do you think I am? - Dag's disgruntled Dag purrs. - I don't intend to spend the rest of my life as a maid of these mongrels. Do you know what all this Dante was offering me?

  - Do you know him? - Hale was curious to see the girl.

  - Yes! He came here and talked to me! The brazen type clearly wanted sex! - She screamed outraged before the brunette managed to silence her.

  - What? Did he suggest you go to bed with him?! - Amanda's head was twisted in disbelief. - I don't believe it. It's disgusting.

  - Literally not, but between the lines, yes - a friend specified, but Hale heard enough already.

She opened the door and pushed the girl out into the hallway with a strong movement, putting her finger in her mouth before the black-haired girl could express her opposition too loudly. They walked quickly and tried to move silently, and as the tunnel was quite short, they were on the stairs in no time at all. All the time Hale was holding Dagmara's hand as if she was afraid that she would soon disappear.

Both hesitated before the second obstacle. They were not sure that the other side was clean, but it was the only and unique chance to find out about it.

Luna with her trembling hands put the card to the metal gates, praying that the sound wouldn't be too loud and wouldn't draw unwanted attention to them. For a moment they just stood there, squeezed together like trusses, but in the end Amanda took a step forward and slipped into the hallway, relieved to say that it was empty.
